3 Days Trip to Explore Black Sea Shore

Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Batumi

Visit picturesque town Batumi at the Black sea shore, learn local people, traditions and culture, subtropical landscapes, important historical monuments.

Tour Schedule:
Day 1 Tbilisi-Kutaisi. Our tour will start in the morning (08:00 or 09:00). We will travel to the West of the country via towns of Gori, Surami, Zestaponi and picturesque Rikoti Pass. Here we will stop for short time to see ceramic market and try pieces of honeycomb.
We will be in Kutaisi about 12:00-14:00
Lunch en rout. Overnight at the hotel ,,Aeetes palace”.
Sights of excursion:
- Gelati monastery and architectural complex, founded by King David the Builder in the 12th c.
- Bagrati Cathedral - (11th c) coronation and burial place of Georgian kings;
- Motsameta ;

Day 2 Kutaisi-Batumi
Today we'll travel to the Black Sea Shore Town Batumi.

Places to visit
- Gonio Fortress. Known as Asparaunt,
- Botanical garden.

-Overnight at the hotel

Day 3 Batumi- Tbilisi
Departure from Batumi back to Tbilisi. En rout visit:
- Ubisi church
- Samtavisi Church

Batumi is a seaside city on the Black Sea coast and capital of Adjara, an autonomous republic in southwest Georgia. It is situated some 20 km (12 mi) from the Turkish border, in a subtropical zone. Batumi today is the main port of Georgia.
